Our Client have a challenging opportunity based in Langley, Slough.
Network & Security Technical Design Architect is required to work within a skilled and dynamic Network and Security team responsible for detailed design, implementation and operations support for T-Systems Data Centre environment - particularly in the Core, Distribution and Access layers, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and other security product. The Technical Design Architect will be responsible for the planning and detail design of bespoke customer solutions; ensuring that the service will be in accordance with contractual SLA's and budgets. The role will require working in the different Data Centres located in Feltham and Staines when required.
This role is 80% Security, an extensive knowledge of Firewalls is required. Crossbeam and Checkpoint expertise essential.
- Manage and support activities within the planning / detailed technical design cycle to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction
- Excellent knowledge of Data Centre networking policies
- Development of technical design documents for initial roll-outs, moves, adds and changes
- Verification and approval of central or customer network design documents
- Provide technical and commercial support to other delivery teams, i.e. OSS, TSS, etc
- Producing and maintaining appropriate support documentation.
- Designing and developing security solutions for new and existing business in line with technical guidance from the team lead (e.g. remote access, secure hosting environments).
- Providing security design support for bid work.
- Out of hours implementation work
- Working within formal Change Control environments
- Carrying out security assessments and providing recommendations.
- Maintaining the security of managed infrastructure ensuring compliance with industry standards. (e.g. SOX).
- Design and review of configuration changes for secured environments.
- Analysing and auditing security events or incidents, providing recommendations and documenting corrective action plans.
